Coffee and juices are on the menu, and the majority of the desserts are made on the premises.  Like many of the fine cafes in Melbourne, their produce is obtained from local suppliers. They now offer take home meals which is a big plus for busy families. Hours are 7AM-6PM Monday through Friday, Saturday 7AM-5PM, and Sunday 8AM – 3:30PM. Breakfast is available all day the menu includes a kid’s corner.


LOLO AND WREN, located on Albion Street, offers modern Australian food with some European influences. They’re open Monday through Friday 7AM-6PM, and weekends 8AM-6PM.  Customers come from all over Melbourne to try out the menu offers.  They use local and organic produce and they’ve established a reputation for being vegan friendly.  This year they were voted one of the Top 20 Gourmet Food Cafes by the Good Food Guide.  Their staff is committed to providing great food and great customer service.  For special occasions, reservations can be made online.  They have a huge selection of coffees, including their 5 Senses Coffee, plus beers and wines.


THE PREMISES located on Bellair Street in Kensington is well known for great service, excellent coffee, and outstanding food.  Open Monday through Friday 7AM-4:30, and weekends from 8AM-4PM. Their menu is vegetarian friendly, with gluten free options. Produce is obtained from local suppliers. Their brunch fare is influenced by Middle Eastern flavors, Moroccan beans can be ordered with several different options.  The owners spend nearly 15 years working in various cafes in London and Melbourne and have put their experience and knowledge into this business.  Outdoor seating is available, making this an ideal place to kick back and enjoy the atmosphere of Kensington.


SO & SO, located on Mount Alexander Road pride themselves on catering to the locals of Travancore and giving them a cozy café to come to. They don’t book events for large groups, this is a venue for intimate gatherings.  The owners were involved in the café and coffee industry for years, and they saw a need for a café in the area that was “comfortable and uncomplicated”. They’re open Tuesday through Friday 7AM-4PM, and weekends 8AM-4PM.  A wide selection of sandwiches are available and the friendly staff and atmosphere make this a great place to eat and visit with friends.
